A Tap, And A Smile
Apr 09, 2026
How do you begin to help someone who’s been to hell, and back?
How can you be (really be!) there with those who’ve experienced unspeakable trauma?
What if it starts with something as simple as a cup of tea and a smile? And continues with a tap, and a song?
On this episode we journey to Rwanda to talk with trauma specialist Gunilla Hamne and explore how her and her colleagues are changing lives for refugees around the world with one simple yet profound technique: tapping!
Key Takeaways:
• Tapping on certain points on the body creates an electrochemical reaction that signals a sense of peace and calm in your brain.
• Creating a sense of calm in a person who has experienced trauma doesn't have to be complicated.
